What we keep, what we don't, and why.

The short version

We collect what we need to ship your order and email you songs you signed up for. We don't sell your data. We don't run third-party ad pixels. The only "tracking" is what Shopify uses to process payments and what email services use to know whether you opened our emails.

What we collect

• Email address — if you sign up for the list or buy something.
• Name & shipping address — if you buy a physical product.
• Payment info — processed by Shopify Payments. We don't see card numbers; Shopify and the payment processor handle that.
• Email engagement — opens and clicks on our emails, so we know what to write more of.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your email address to anyone.
• We don't share your data with advertisers.
• We don't run Facebook pixel, TikTok pixel, or any third-party tracking on this site.
• We don't have a chatbot collecting transcripts.

What Shopify does

Our store runs on Shopify. They handle payment processing, order data, and their own analytics. Their privacy policy covers the part we don't see: shopify.com/legal/privacy.

Cookies

The shop side (shop.odestojoy.com) uses Shopify's standard cart and session cookies. The brand site (odestojoy.com) doesn't set its own cookies.

Unsubscribe / data deletion

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link in the footer. Click it, you're off the list. To delete your account entirely — including order history — email hello@odestojoy.com with the email address on file. We process within 30 days.

California, EU, and friends

If you're in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (CCPA, GDPR, Quebec's Law 25, etc.) you have the right to know what we have, correct it, or delete it. Email us; same address.

We'll update this page if our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
